The governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi is one very funny character, who will never cease to give Nigerians a reason to laugh.
He is one of the most talked about governors in Nigeria and he always seems to come up with something that will keep his name on peoples’ lips.
Apparently, the governor has got a good sense of humour, from his word to his actions, he has left Nigerians stunned.
He has once again got people talking about him on social media.
This time, the governor decided to dress in the most unusual way to a campaign rally which held yesterday, April 8 in the state.

The attire is a very confusing one as it cannot be described as a traditional attire neither can it be called a formal wear. Maybe you can come up with a name for it.


Whether it is a campaign strategy or one of his hilarious acts, the governor has shown that he can wear whatever he likes and not care about what you have to say.
The governor has done some other things that got people talking and laughing. Last month, a photo of the governor surfaced online, showing him attempting to make a woman’s hair. Some were of the opinion that it could be a campaign strategy with the elections fast approaching.

Gov Amaechi is popularly known for criticizing for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) on whose platform he became the governor of Rivers state. He defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in November 2013.
Since his defection, he has been against the ruling PDP, accusing them of a lot of things. He has not spared President Goodluck Jonathan from his insults, even though, they are both from the South South region.

Amaechi is the 5th and current governor of Rivers state, Nigeria. He started ruling in 2007 and was re-elected for a second term on 26 April 2011, under the platform of the PDP. He later defected to the APC. He will handing over soon to a new governor, after a winner emerges at the governorship elections holding on April 11, 2015.
The governor is married to Judith Amaechi and they are blessed with three children.
