A woman is dead after she caught her husband making out with her sister in her bed, police in Nigeria said.
According to the police investigation, James was caught in bed with the sister of his wife Rita, who was identified as Juliet.
The incident unfolded in the couple’s home on White House Road in Bayelsa State.
Juliet, who is nursing her baby, visited her sister at night, and when she fell asleep, James crawled up next to her and made out with her.
Juliet woke up and screamed, alerting her sister and neighbors. Rita could not cope with the shame and decided to end her marriage with James.
On Friday afternoon, Rita was found in a pool of blood with a kitchen knife beside her. Police launched a manhunt for James, and they found him unconscious after swallowing poison.
He was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, where doctors were able to revive him. He was charged with one count of murder.
