Arsenal are set to receive €3.8million if Barcelona win the Champions League next month in Berlin, as a result of a performance related bonus inserted into Thomas Vermaelen's contract when he was sold to the Catalans last summer.
The Belgian has failed to make an official appearance for Barcelona since his €20million transfer last summer due to injuries, but was included in the squad that faced Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.
Vermaelen will likely also be included in the squad to face Juventus in the final, and will receive a Champions League medal if his side claim victory.
Arsenal negotiated a clause in the Belgian's contract stating that they would be owed a further €3.8million if Barcelona were to win the Champions League this season, according to Spanish publication Sport.
With Barcelona the heavy favorites for their fifth European title, it looks like the Gunners could have a modest windfall to use in the summer transfer window.
